Bugatti Heritage Archive (1909–1952)

The Bugatti Heritage Archive brings together one of the most distinctive independent visual resources on the marque — spanning studio photography, owners’ sessions, historic documentation, and rare factory drawings preserved in high-quality reproductions.

Ikonographia’s collection reflects Bugatti across its full arc: the artistic engineering of Ettore’s early years, the racing-born masterpieces of the interwar period, and the refined coachbuilt automobiles of the postwar era.
This archive combines exclusive authorial photography with rare printed material and carefully restored historical sources, offering a visually coherent and research-ready record of Bugatti’s cultural, technical, and aesthetic legacy.

ARCHIVE CONTENTS

Divina Bugatti — Studio Photography (Mulhouse Sessions)

Six night sessions inside the Musée National de l’Automobile (Mulhouse), using controlled lighting and a highly interpretive visual approach. These photographs — created for the landmark book Divina Bugatti — remain among the most iconic still-life representations of Bugatti automobiles.

Bugatti Glamour Sessions — Castiglione (Owners’ Portraits)

Private photographic sessions with eight Bugattis from eight owners, captured in a refined architectural setting. Includes still-life studies, contextual imagery, detail plates, and preserved audio recordings.

Bugatti International Centenary Meeting (2009)

Documentary photography of over 100 Bugattis gathered in Tuscany. Features individual cars, crews, parades, landscape settings, and behind-the-scenes moments, forming a uniquely broad photographic record of the event.

Factory Drawings & Heliographic Sheets (1920s–1930s)

Ikonographia holds a rare digital record of Bugatti factory drawings — including pencil design sheets and period heliographic copies — photographed directly from the originals in 1990.

Many of those originals were later dispersed or lost, making these faithful photographic reproductions a valuable reference for historians, designers, and curators.
